ISPS-US (The International Society for the Psychological Treatment of the Schizophrenias and Other Psychoses) has published a book I co-wrote and co-edited with my colleague Daniel Mackler.  The book is entitled, "A Way Out of Madness: Dealing with Your Family After You've Been Diagnosed with a Psychiatric Disorder."  It seems several psychology professors have already made this book required reading for students due to its unique, hopeful message.  To order the book from Amazon.com click

I think psychoanalytic thought is the coolest thing ever.  Why?  Because it offers the most sophisticated model of why we come to be who we are and how lasting change is achieved.  So I recently started the year-long Child Psychotherapy Seminar at a local psychoanalytic institute in order to further enrich my thinking about my work with kids and adolescents.
